Mom's Bible is a study bible full of excellent helpful features that will enhance any bible study. Whether you are a new mother, a mother with a house full of amazing children, or a seasoned mother with older children, this Bible is for you. There are many intriguing features within the pages of this bible. As you read, you notice that there are sections of the page set aside to impart wisdom on what you just read.

Some of the sections include "Our God Is..." which draws you into a "pause" to contemplate on God and build your knowledge of the triune God. Another great section is "Questions Kids Ask" which answers those questions when you find yourself looking for an instruction manual for your child. "Mom's in the Bible" highlights a mother in the particular verses that you are reading. No more searching for Mom's in the bible. They are set apart and noticeable as you flip through the pages. The feature that I loved the most is "Wonderful Counselor" which is your own, personal bible-based, spiritually led therapy session, which will help you tackle the tough issues as a mother. The other features are "Godly Character", "Passing it On", and "Insights."

Of course, like any great worthy bible there are insightful book introductions, a topical index, and a presentation page. However, the author has taken it a step further with the way the different books are presented...you will have to see it for yourself! This bible will speak to the mother inside of you with every turn of the page!

One other thing I like is that they highlight, in their own special color, memory verses that can be treasured and placed in your heart. They definitely stand out in the text.

I love this bible. In fact, I have begun using it for my own personal bible study or when I just need to sit down and reflect on God's Love. It can take the place of your daily devotional that you read, or that Scriptural email or text that you receive each morning. It is full of - GOD'S WORD in a way that appeals to mothers. The bible has a hardback durable cover, which, for mom's, is a must. If you are looking for a God-Centered, mother inspired study bible, you have found it. I received a copy of Mom's Study Bible - God's Wisdom For Mothers (NCV) from Booksneeze in exchange for an honest review. This is a daily reading Bible with commentary and insights including special feature sections titled: "Our God Is", "Questions Kids Ask", "Walking In", "Godly Character", "Passing It On", "Moms In The Bible", "Wonderful Counselor", and "Insights".

Overall, I think some moms may find this Bible useful. The copy I received is a durable hard back, but that makes it heavy and difficult to carry around (especially when you have a bunch of baby stuff you're trying to carry around as well). Though I read many pages throughout, I focused on the book of Esther. I found the commentary to hold Biblical truth, but I didn't find that it particularly inspired me in any way. The typeface is readable and pleasant, but the placement of the commentary is distracting. Because of these things, I would not recommend this particular Bible, though as I said, I think some moms may find it useful and interesting.


NCV Mom's Bible: God's Wisdom for Mothers Review by K. Rowland

I've been holding on to this Bible for a while - waiting to review it. I guess I thought I'd have to finish the whole Bible before I could review, but let's face it, I wouldn't be reviewing a Bible for Moms if I didn't have two kids hanging off of me, laundry piled up, and a layer of dust everywhere so this edition might not even be in print by the time I make it cover to cover. So, up front I just want to be clear that I haven't read every page of this edition of the Bible. I will tell you, though, that the pages I did read were filled with inspirational insight. I can't say I'm totally sold on the New Century Version (NCV) translation. I prefer my NIV, mostly out of personal preference, and also because I don't like questioning word derivatives as I'm reading scripture. The NCV version is easy to read and straight-forward, however.

Once you become a mother, your perspective on pretty much everything changes. I really like having a Bible that speaks to my perspective as a mother. This Bible offers great sections such as: Moms in the Bible, Questions Kids Ask, and Godly Character. It's a Bible and devotional all wrapped up in one! Even though I haven't made it through cover to cover yet, this edition of the Bible does inspire me to want to re-read the Bible and let God speak to me as a mother. Can't beat that!
